Frequently Asked Questions
How old are you?
I am 25 years old. My birthday is on December 27th.
Where are you from?
I’m from Salem, Massachusetts. And no, I am not a witch.
Where did you go to college? What are you doing now?
I graduated in May 2010 from Hofstra University in New York. I have a bachelor’s degree in print journalism. Job hunting has been fruitless and I currently work in customer service at a hardware store.
What do you want to do with your life?
I want to get a dog and live in an apartment by myself. Ideally, I’d like to get a job as an editorial assistant or copy writer for a magazine or web site.
Do you like girls?
Nope.
Why the name “sexxtape”?
It’s kind of a personal joke, but also the name of a Deftones song that I like a lot.
Where is your blog title from?
There’s a Ladytron song called “Destroy Everything You Touch.” I chose it because not only do I have a tendency to do just that, but I also have something of a passion for destruction.
How many followers do you have?
I don’t think I’ve got a very popular blog, but just over 5900.
Where can I find _____ that you posted?
99% of my images have a click-through link, and that’s where I found them. I am unable to provide any further information, so Google it. I find most things on Flickr, weheartit, Thrilld, and Google image search. I make it a point to post a click-through link with its source on every photo that I post or reblog, and the only time I don’t is when it’s a picture that’s been saved to my hard drive for a while and I have no idea where it came from. If you see a photo that’s yours and want proper credit, all you have to do is ask.
Can you follow me? Will you promote me?
I will check out your blog if you ask, but no promises.
Will you change ______ for me? It’s offensive.
No. Go away. I have no interest in knowing you.
Why did you just rape my blog and like 4809453 things?
I tend to go through entire archives and “like” everything when I find a blog I like, so keep up the good work.
What theme are you using?
The original theme I used is called 2001 and you can find it here. I’ve had it for a very long time, though, so over the course of time I’ve edited it a lot to make it look the way it looks now.
How did you get your font to look like that?
Cufon font replacement. More info here.
What blogs do you recommend I follow?
I’ve made a page with a list of my favorites here: Favorites.
Do you have any other blogs?
Right now, not really. I’m working on a new Tumblr for for animated tiny gifs though: pleasures. I need to get writing again for real.
